JOB SUMMARY
The Mortgage Banker Finance Portfolio Manager, Long Dwell Products, is responsible for effective and efficient credit and risk management of the Mortgage Banker Finance portfolio of products with over 120 days of dwell time. This role involves monitoring the performance of the long dwell portfolio, ensuring compliance with program guidelines and risk mitigation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mortgage lending, excellent analytical skills, credit recommendations, and the ability to work collaboratively with Mortgage Banker Finance operations and Credit Administration.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Portfolio Management : Continuous monitoring of the Mortgage Banker Finance portfolio, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Compliance : Ensure compliance with Mortgage Banker Finance program guidelines.
- Risk Mitigation : Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks associated with the Mortgage Banker Finance portfolio. Elevate any suspected credit quality issues in the long dwell portfolio.
- Client Relations : Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
- Documentation : Oversee the preparation and review of loan documentation
- Team Collaboration : Work closely with other departments, including relationship management, operations, and credit, to ensure seamless portfolio management.
- Reporting : Prepare and present regular reports on portfolio performance to senior management.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field. A minimum of five years experience in the mortgage industry, with two years of mortgage underwriting background. Knowledge of current mortgage lending product guidelines, underwriting requirements, regulations, and compliance requirements.
