Job Description Summary Provides intelligence support to Bank of the West with a focus on current and future external threats. Fully utilizes available databases, automated tools and software applications, and other e-research tools to perform data analysis, pattern analysis, and trend analysis. Applies sound and documented analytical approaches to problems and situations for which data is incomplete, controversial, or for which no precedent exists. Monitors threat situations and produces intelligence products to provide Bank Security leadership, staff, and other stakeholders to inform plans or strategy and ensure timely response to current and future issues. Reads and summarizes intelligence reports, drafts collective estimates and interagency products and processes, maintains and updates a variety of databases, identify intelligence gaps, respond to ad hoc information requests, and track all tasks and ad hoc products to completion. Collects, manipulates, and analyzes data in order to develop intelligence assessments. Assists in advising the Bank's leadership on geopolitical and cybersecurity issues pertaining to threat perceptions, tactics, techniques, and methods used by adversaries. Prepares reports that present findings, cites applicable policies, identifies causative situations, and recommends corrective actions. Identifies and maintains liaison with counterparts throughout the financial services, U.S. Government, and academia in order to exploit all sources of information. Conducts tier-one analysis on all threats received for dissemination to appropriate Bank stakeholders. Essential Job Functions - This position requires an adaptive threat intelligence analyst to use a variety of techniques to assist in the research and development of tactical, operational and strategic products related to geopolitics, cybersecurity and cybercrime. - Primary duties consist of capturing requirements, translating news, intelligence source data, industry reports, trends and incident information into analysis for a variety of audiences across the Bank. - Ability to clearly communicate in both written and oral presentations, coordinate with internal and external partners to gather and validate information, and demonstrate strong ability to synthesize information into predictive reports. - Additionally, a successful candidate will actively look for novel solutions, methodologies, tools, and technologies to solve new and complex problems and questions. - The Intelligence Analyst will work independently with moderate oversight and provide comprehensive and completed products that may require minor revisions or editing. Qualifications:

Required Experience - Requires practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. - Requires 3 years minimum prior relevant experience. Education - Associate's Degree Skills - Preferred knowledge of any of following technologies: SQL, Power BI, Python, AI technologies, MS Access, Splunk, AWS, C , Java Script, and various software and cloud solutions. - Preferred knowledge of business processes, data flows, data modeling, and data infrastructure. - Preferred knowledge of the process of conducting predictive analysis, risk analytics and is able to build-out various reports - Successful completion of certified training as an Intelligence Analyst or Cyber Analyst. - Strong understanding of all-source data sources. - Experience working with an intelligence or national security organization. - Ability to learn about the Banking/Financial industry. - Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent and one to four years' experience in a related field, or four years' direct military intelligence, Intelligence Community or Law Enforcement experience. - Experience with providing intelligence collection, research, analysis and developing analytical products, and/or planning and targeting operations. - Determined the credibility, value, significance, and relevancy of information from different data sources to produce clear, concise, and timely analytical products. - Developed functional requirements to support threat processing and analytical initiatives - Demonstrated written communication skills sufficient to explain actions taken and rationale behind thought process and recommendations. - At least five years of experience with processes, tools, techniques and practices for assuring adherence to standards associated with accessing, altering and protecting organizational data. - Experience in oral communication and interpersonal skills to work within a team environment. - Experience with DoD joint and USG inter-agency planning and intelligence communities. - Experience with DoD and USG intelligence databases and information management systems. - - Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access) and computer tools common to the IC, including Analyst Notebook, and Palantir. Hourly Rate: $19.23 - 50.48 Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. - The base salary opportunity can vary based on candidate’s geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
