We are currently looking for a BSA Operations Specialist to work Monday-Friday at our Branch located at 2605 Washington Blvd., Ogden, UT. This BSA Operations Specialist will play a key role in the Bank’s BSA/AML compliance risk management program. They assist in the operational execution of the risk-based policies and procedures set forth by the compliance manual and the BSA/AML/OFAC risk assessment. They are a motivated self-starter, eager to learn, with a willingness to grow and develop a specialized BSA/AML skillset.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years in banking compliance or operations experience or other relevant experience in law enforcement or fraud detection.
- Must have good analytical, audit, problem resolution and research skills
- Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills as this position requires interfacing with various examiners and auditors, as well as senior management and various departments within the organization.

Regular duties and responsibilities:
The BSA Operations Specialist I will work closely with the BSA Officer to ensure the Bank follows the BSA/AML and OFAC policies and procedures set forth by the Board of Directors. Specifically, the BSA Operations Specialist I will be responsible for the following:
- Accurate and timely filing of CTR forms
- Verification and logging of Monetary Instruments
- Investigation of potential Watchlist alerts
- OFAC search procedures on new and existing customers throughout the Bank
- Assist with periodic client behavior reviews
- Investigation of AML software generated alert reviews, either mitigating the reviews based on observed activity or escalating the case for a SAR evaluation
- The creation of alerts via the Unusual Activity Referral (UAR) system
- Investigations of potentially suspicious activities
- Assist with the completion of enhanced due diligence (EDD) for high risk customers
- Assist with preparing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) to be filed
- Attendance is an essential function of the job other duties as assigned.
