Key Responsibilities
The job holder will be responsible for:
- Portfolio Planning & Strategic Alignment
- Maintaining the Bank’s project pipeline (runway) ensuring effective prioritisation, sequencing and resource allocation for strategic, regulatory and run-the-bank projects.
- Aligning project methodologies and executing frameworks with strategic priorities and business needs.
- Liaising with senior leadership to ensure project investments align with strategic goals.
- Methodology & Frameworks
- Leading the development, adoption and refinement of project and change management methodologies, ensuring scalability and efficiency across teams.
- Integrating Agile, hybrid, and SAFe 6 methodologies into project planning while ensuring smooth co-existence with existing Waterfall approaches.
- Establishing and monitoring adherence to best-in-class project planning and execution frameworks.
- Governance & Reporting
- Overseeing the design, implementation and management of PMO reporting systems, ensuring data integrity, consistency and timeliness.
- Developing performance monitoring dashboards and analytical reports for executive decision-making.
- Ensuring methodologies align with PMO governance standards and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Data-Driven Insights & Performance Management
- Leveraging advanced analytics to track portfolio performance, identify trends, mitigate risks and uncovering opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Providing data-driven insights to optimise project execution and resource allocation.
- Developing a culture of continuous performance evaluation and strategic decision-making.
- Technology & Innovation
- Championing the adoption of emerging technologies and digital tools to enhance project planning, execution, and reporting.
- Supporting automation and digital transformation initiatives within project delivery.
- Stakeholder Collaboration & Capability Building
- Engaging executive leadership, program managers, and cross-functional teams to embed best practices in portfolio planning, execution, and performance measurement.
- Developing and delivering training programs, workshops, and knowledge-sharing initiatives to enhance project delivery capabilities.

- Overseeing change management initiatives within remit, ensuring that team members and stakeholders are engaged and aligned.
- Leadership & Team Management
- Inspiring others to grow and develop by setting challenging goals and assigning duties according to the individual competencies, which requires establishing an effective work plan, adjusting the plan as needed during implementation and distributing the workload appropriately. It also involves applying learning from past work plan successes and failures to develop more effective future work plans.
- Encouraging team members to embrace problem-solving and adopt a data-driven analytical approach which involves ensuring that team members understand the importance of using reliable data and following structured methodologies

- Previous proven work experience of seven (7) years in Project or Portfolio Management, Strategy or Transformation roles in a financial institution or regulated industry, three (3) years of which leading a team, project or initiative and also in implementing enterprise-wide project methodologies, governance and performance reporting.
- An MQF Level 6 Degree in Business, Project Management, Finance or related field.
- Certifications in PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), Lean Six Sigma.
- An additional three (3) years in Project or Portfolio Management, Strategy or Transformation roles in a financial institution or regulated industry.
- An MQF Level 7 Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Project Management.
