Key Responsibilities
The job holder will be responsible for:
- Managing Projects:
- Overseeing smaller projects (as defined in the approved Project Tiering Matrix on a scale 1 to 5) that deliver defined business benefits, including all project stages from initiation to winding down.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Engaging with various stakeholders to manage and align their expectations. This includes regular communication and reporting on project progress, escalating to a Senior Project Manager or higher management, as necessary.
- Project Leadership:
- Taking the lead in all project stages from initiation to completion.
- Managing the project team to ensure delivery and moving ahead from one stage to the next.
- Coordinating with the multi-disciplinary team (MDT) in defining project scope, objectives and deliverables.
- Ensuring that all project activities are completed on time and within budget.
- Quality Assurance:
- Working with internal stakeholders to ensure the quality of deliverables.
- Conducting regular reviews to maintain high standards.
- Resource Management:
- Managing resource dependencies and resolve conflicts between projects.
- Coordinating with different teams to ensure optimal resource utilisation.
- Risk Management:
- Monitoring project progress, identify ongoing risks and take remedial actions, as necessary.
- Best Practices:
- Implementing standardised processes and tools.
- Troubleshooting:
- Acting as a reference point and troubleshooting whenever project uncertainties are flagged, escalating to a Senior Project Manager or higher management, as necessary.
- Negotiating Trade-offs:
- Balancing the trade-offs between benefit, risk, budget and delivery elements.
- Status Reporting:
- Regularly reporting on project status and prognosis to senior management.

- Previous proven work experience of four (4) years in banking, management, financial services or related area, one (1) year of which managing a team, project or initiative.
- An MQF Level 6 in Banking, Management, Business, Project Management or related area.
- An additional three (3) years in project management, banking, management, financial services or related area.
