Position Function
The position is responsible for providing general administrative support, accurately creating, processing and boarding loan documents and reconciling various general ledger activities.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide general administrative support to loan officers including research and resolve customer inquiries, address any deficiencies in support documentation, and maintain files.
- Prepare documentation packages for various loans to comply with the terms of the credit decision for document preparation, as requested by loan officers.
- Validate and interpret Commercial, Consumer and Mortgage loan documentation to determine loan boarding requirements.
- Prepare and mail various early and closing disclosure forms and adverse action letters.
- Order various reports including flood, credit, surveys, appraisals, etc.
- Review signed documents to ensure accuracy.
- Board and update loans on loan origination and core system.
- Update information in the loan system as needed.
- Process and balance online loan related transactions.
- Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and banking regulatory laws.
- Set an example of high ethical behavior, integrity and professional conduct to all employees, customers and communities.
- Other operational duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Education Requirements and Preferred Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One to two years of experience in a financial institution.
- Understanding of lending practices including loan documentation, loan policy, etc.
- Outstanding listening, interpersonal, written and verbal skills.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and work well in a team environment.
- Ability to follow company policies, guidelines, and procedures.
- Resourceful, demonstrates problem solving skills, as well as a self-guided learner.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality using tact and diplomacy.
