Job description- Branch Teller
Summary
The Branch Teller position must efficiently process a variety of customer requests while providing the highest level of service. A strong work ethic, commitment to accuracy and confidentiality are required.
Essential Functions
· Engages clients promptly as they come into the branch in a warm and friendly manner making them feel welcome and valued.
· Assists in managing lobby flow by directing clients to who can assist in their needs.
· Maintains a personal balanced teller cash drawer.
· Processes basic teller transactions including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, check-cashing, cashier’s checks, loan payments, credit card cash advances, and savings bond redemptions.
· Processing buy’s and sells between teller drawers and the vault.
· Maintaining vault cash, including balancing, ordering currency, and selling currency.
· Promotes the banks products and services when appropriate to meet client needs.
· Processes general account maintenance including but not limited to, change of address, changing phone numbers or emails, and debit card maintenance.
· Responds to customers needs and concerns to help identify solutions.
· Cooperates with other staff to answer company phones.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Excellent customer service skills, including verbal and written communication skills.
- Adhere to the banks policies and procedures.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
- Time-management and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively contribute to a positive team environment
- Strong work ethic and high integrity
- Strong computer and 10 key skills
Education and Experience
- At least 6 months of cash handling experience in retail sales environment and/or previous banking experience.
- Experience with banking products and procedures preferred.
