Essential Functions/Responsibilities
- Responsible for reviewing Loan Coordinators loan files for accuracy & completeness.
- Work with Loan Coordinator to review all loan file documents, orders necessary supporting documentation, and requests additional information as needed from borrowers.
- Train & mentor Loan Coordinator to be self sufficient in the processing role.
- Work with Senior Loan Advisor , Senior UW, & Legal Counsel to develop process flow and processing requirements for loans in excess of $1M .
- Provide support to the Underwriting team by cross training the UW position.
- Work with borrowers and carriers to facilitate the commission redirect and commission assignment process.
- Coordinate the closing process with Underwriter, LO, & customer along with generation of loan documents for borrowers once loan has been approved.
- Provide backup for the Sales & Underwriting team with file reviews as needed
- Other initiatives deemed necessary to assist the Sales & Underwriting Department in meeting goals and directives to improve company performance
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed to Perform Essential Functions of the Job
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years Lending or Insurance industry experience
- Able to work independently and aggressively to accomplish objectives and meet deadlines
- Able to communicate and work efficiently internally and with borrowers
- Excel proficiency is required
- Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills
