What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Estimator position at Banker Insulation?

- Grow branch sales and capture positive customer experiences by working with residential and commercial customers regarding their insulation and fireplace needs
- Complete in-home/onsite consultations with customers to determine needs
- Prospecting for new clients and projects
- Write up estimates and present them to the customer, providing customer service/follow up throughout the sales and project process through completion
- Track estimates and responses to ensure that customer needs are met
- Your day will typically involve starting at the office to evaluate your schedule and prepare to go into the field. You will then complete in-home/onsite consultations regarding customer insulation/fireplace needs. I portion of your day will typically be at the office creating and sending estimates, answering customer questions, and following up with estimates previously sent
- Highly motivated and sales driven
- Ability to read & interpret blueprints and construction plans preferred
- Prior sales experience and an understanding of sales and marketing techniques, with the ability to pursue leads and close sales
- Ability to think on your feet and problem solve
- Comfortable communicating with customers regarding pricing, options, and change orders
- Common knowledge of building materials and construction processes a plus
- Analytical, organized, detail orientated, and customer focused
- Technologically savvy, with the ability to utilize technology to produce estimates and contracts for projects
- Must be at least 21 years old, possess a valid driver's license, and be authorized to work in the United States
- Use of a personal vehicle will be required for this role (car and fuel allowance per month provided)
- Ability to lift heavy items, climb ladders and scaffolds, maneuver in high and tight spaces, and work in non-climate-controlled environments
- This role will often require climbing into attics and crawlspaces
- Able to withstand heat, dust, and various weather and environmental conditions of a construction site
