What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator - Weekend Shift (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) position at Banker Steel?
Available Shift : Weekend Day Shift (Friday, Saturday and Sunday 6am to 6:30pm)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Follow safe operating and lifting procedures for overhead cranes
Operate forklifts according to safe operating procedures
Bring in and remove various sizes, thickness and shapes of steel parts.
Maintains safe operations of all machines by adhering to company and OSHA safety policies and procedures.
Set up and operate CNC machines for the drill line and/or saw operations
Maintains equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements
Monitor the machine to ensure that it is running at maximum performance
Detect and report all machine malfunctions
Documents actions by completing production and quality logs
Adjust machine as needed
Other duties as assigned
Required Work and Environmental Conditions:
Must be able to constantly work in various indoor conditions including hot and cold temperatures, dust and noisy conditions;
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and some holidays
Must be able to properly wear all required Personal Protective Equipment.
Must be able to follow all safety procedures.
Qualifications:
One (1) year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred but will train if necessary
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, write and follow written and verbal instructions.
Possess basic computer skills
Experience using hand-measurement tools
Experience operating CNC Drill Line and / or Saw is preferred
High School diploma/GED required
Friday through Sunday
6:00am to 6:30pm
