Job Summary:
The Credit Analyst I provides timely and quality financial spreading and analysis and assists with the preparation of approval packets for commercial loan requests. The Credit Analyst I will support the credit risk function of the bank by performing other duties as assigned.
Primary Functions and/or Responsibilities:
- Spreads business and personal financial statements and prepares financial analysis
- Supports commercial underwriting by inputting customer information into presentation format (i.e. Sageworks)
- Prepares appropriate cash flow analysis to determine the borrower’s ability to service debt obligations
- Works with Commercial Portfolio Managers to understand the client's requests and/or current financial performance.
- Independently researches and analyzes company, industry and economic data
- Independently calculates borrower financial covenants for compliance with loan agreements
- Prepares various reports that support management reporting and tracking
- Maintains familiarity with Loan Policy and Loan Guidelines in order to determine compliance
- Successfully completes any assigned credit training
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience:
- BA or BS degree in Business, Accounting or Finance or other business-related field preferred
- At least one year of experience or an internship in banking preferred, but less may be considered
- Four-year college degree in a related field preferred OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
Specific Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
- Ability to research and understand commercial and commercial real estate lending and banking regulations
- Ability to deal effectively with customers and employees at all levels of the bank organization
Hiring Salary Range
The hiring range below reflects targeted base salary. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s prior related experience & education and will be finalized at the time of offer. In addition to base salary, most positions are also eligible to participate in our annual bonus program. Select positions may also be eligible to earn incentives and/or commissions. Hiring Salary Range: $25.80 - $33.00 (Annualized at 40 hours per week: $53,664 - $68,68640)
