OVERVIEW:
Responsible to answer and route calls to the appropriate person/department that are received through the main line of the bank.
HOURS
- Wednesday 12:00pm - 5:30pm
- Thursday 7:15am - 5:30pm
- Friday 12:30pm - 5:30pm
- First Saturday of every month
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs any functions necessary, within scope of authority and expertise, to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to customers.
- Operates the switchboard console. Answers all the calls that are received through to the main line of the bank. Listens to the request of the person and either solves minor inquiries or directs the call to the appropriate department.
- Responsible to ensure that all the calls are routed to the appropriate department or person. Maintains a high degree of knowledge of the Bank’s departmental structure and functionality to enable the expedited transfer of calls.
- Keeps abreast of any major events or products that the Bank is holding or launching to be able to answer basic questions.
- Performs clerical duties as assigned.
- Performs all duties in accordance with prescribed regulatory compliance guidelines.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or its equivalent.
- One to two years related experience.
- Excellent oral communications and telephone techniques.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Good understanding of the Bank’s organization, products and services.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Proficiency in using multi-line telephone console and PC.
- Experience with Word and Excel a plus.
- Will be required to work extended hours and weekend hours.
