OVERVIEW:
The Recruiting Coordinator is responsible for understanding the full cycle of recruiting at Hometown Financial Group. The Recruiting Coordinator is responsible for the recruiting process from start to finish as well as providing an exceptional experience to internal employees and external candidates.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs any functions necessary, within scope of authority and expertise, to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to employees and applicants across Hometown Financial Group. Recognizes the need for highly confidential treatment of employee information.
Recruiting/Onboarding
- Works with managers to update or create position job descriptions, while partnering with HR management to understand the needs, requirements, and expectations of the job.
- Proactively sources qualified applicants through recruitment strategies such as internet sourcing, advertisement, in-person and phone interviewing, social networking, participating in job fairs, promoting Employee Referral Program, and developing and participating in internal and external job fairs.
- Creates employment advertisements utilizing position job descriptions and referencing behavioral requirements; promotes job postings in various recruitment platforms to help maintain a recruitment pipeline and coordinates candidate interviews itineraries.
- Process all background checks including references checks and works with HR management to negotiate employment offers.
- Works closely with HR management to help determine equitable job offers, prepares offer letters, and extends job offer to candidates.
- Keeps HR management, hiring managers and candidates informed regarding the application status.
- Works closely with management to help maintain adequate seasonal hire pool and creates and maintains Internship programs.
- Maintains the Predictive Index Behavioral Assessment system.
- Assist with developing and maintaining strong business relationships with local employment and advertising agencies, local schools and community organizations as well as related vendors and trade associations.
- Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations pertaining to recruiting and onboarding best practices.
- Responsible for the on-boarding process for new employees.
- Conducts new employee orientation, assisting in completing paperwork and introductions.
- Collaborates with HR members and Learning & Development team to coordinate and facilitate a seamless onboarding process for new employees.
Employee Engagement
- Receives and resolves questions and problems of routine to more complex in nature either by phone, email or in person.
- Employ ownership, proper telephone etiquette, and strong oral and written communication skills to service our employee’s needs.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- 1-3 years of Human Resources experience with a preference for experience in recruitment.
- Associates degree or its equivalent in specialized course work and training.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and integrity.
- Ability to maintain departmental confidentiality.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and business writing skills.
- Must be an advocate for employees.
- Must have critical thinking abilities.
- Must be passionate about our company, our people, our customers and our community.
- Human Resources experience a plus.
- Ability to travel to branches in MA, CT and NH.
