Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Completes monthly reconciliation of insurance billing and maintains vendor contact to investigate discrepancies and provide information in non-routine situations.
- Administers the annual open enrollment processes including participation in annual benefit program discussions, creating associate communications and presentations, gathering required documents from associates, and completing system updates. Researches and recommends new benefits offerings.
- Supports associates in their plan enrollments during open enrollment, when making changes due to a qualified life event, and at termination of their employment at the Bank.
- Assists with the resolution of benefit issues for associates and benefit vendors regarding enrollment and coverage matters.
- Monitors status changes, enrollments, and terminations for benefit plans to ensure processed accurately and timely.
- Acts as a liaison between associates, Human Resources, managers and our third-party leave administrator during leave administration process from the associates initial notice of the need for leave to their return to work. This includes monitoring the status of all leaves and ADA accommodation requests, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Reviews and analyzes associate reasonable accommodation requests. Consults with management on accommodation decisions.
- Monitors intermittent leave usage to ensure all time taken by associates is reported appropriately and remains within approved parameters.
- Maintains knowledge of all applicable leave and accommodation laws including the FMLA, ADA, PWFA, and state and local laws.
- Administers the Workers Compensation claims process and annual audit.
- Coordinates the associate separation process including sending separation task, obtaining separation report from manager, and coordinating return of Bank property.
- Creates/updates HRIS reports as needed for all benefits and other projects as assigned.
- Assists with retirement plan reporting - regulatory and routine.
- Provides general support for division/department in presentation and document preparation.
- Maintains and updates content on internal SharePoint site.
- Scans documents into HRIS and completes record and events maintenance.
- Acts as back-up to the administration of unemployment claims.
Education/Experience
Required Experience:
- At least three years experience in benefits administration.
- Strong knowledge of employee benefits, laws and regulations.
- At least one year experience administering leaves of absence and accommodations.
- Knowledge of the leave requirements and other legal protections afforded by the FMLA, ADA, and other applicable laws.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience using an HRIS; Paylocity is a plus.
- Self-directed, professional and excellent interpersonal skills
- Extremely detail-oriented, proactive, and organized
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion
