What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loan Ops Representative position at BankFirst Financial Services?
BASIC PURPOSE: This position is responsible for the review and audit of all new and renewed loans after the closing, execution and disbursement of funds has occurred to ensure proper policy, procedural, and compliance requirements were followed, and loans have been properly documented in accordance with the terms and conditions of approval. This staff member is also responsible for identifying and citing exceptions to credit policies, compliance, and loan documentation requirements for each loan file, as well as ensuring the exceptions are cleared on a timely basis.
Supports The Post-Closing Lead In The Following Areas
Complete quality control post-loan closing reviews of all consumer, commercial, real estate, agricultural and government-guaranteed loans.
Review entity and organizational documentation to understand business structure and authorized signers.
Confirm collateral and supporting loan documents are all present and correctly executed.
Ensure proper policy, procedural and compliance adherence in accordance with state laws and federal regulations.
Assess loan file conformity with BankFirst loan policies, procedures and determine if proper loan approval and/or waivers were obtained.
Identify and record all exceptions in the Bank’s tracking system.
Ensure exceptions are cleared timely and appropriately resolved to meet bank policy and regulatory standards.
Serve as a resource to Lenders, Loan Assistants, Loan Operations personnel, and other Post-Closing members by providing guidance and/or consultation on documentation, policy, or procedural issues.
Education, Experience, Skills
Extensive work experience in consumer, commercial and/or real estate lending-related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Comprehensive knowledge in loan compliance and regulatory requirements, with strong understanding of loan documentation for commercial, consumer and real estate loans.
Strong customer service, written and verbal communication skills.
Effective organizational and time-management skills, with an attention to detail
Ability to handle heavy volumes of work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
Excellent multi-tasking and prioritizing skills.
Sufficient PC and technical skills necessary to perform related job duties. Required software skills include Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to work independently without supervision.
Analytical and detail-oriented with the ability to communicate in a professional manner with various employees throughout the bank.
Good problem resolution skills.
