What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loan Processor position at BankFirst Financial Services?
BASIC PURPOSE: This position is responsible for performing pre-closing reviews of commercial & consumer non-real estate loans, including entity documentation, to ensure conformance with
regulatory standards as well as bank credit policy standards and approval requirements
Verify loan documents required to support approved terms and conditions, including reviewing entity and collateral documentation, lending authorities, and adherence to
terms, pricing and conditions approved by bank loan committees.
Prepare documentation for all new, renewal and modified loans, utilizing the bank's internal documentation software.
Produce complete, accurate and enforceable loan document packages, including early disclosures, promissory notes, loan agreements, security agreements, financing
statements, borrowing resolutions, and other necessary documents for assigned loans.
Assist with third-party services, including UCC filings and searches, flood determinations, Secretary of State standings and other external documentation.
Serve as resource to all bank lending personnel and loan support areas by providing guidance and/or consultation on any documentation, policy or procedural issue.
Notify lenders of potential problems and make recommendations for resolution of problems or conflicts associated with loans and/or collateral.
Participate in training sessions, webinars and/or projects relating to pre-closing and compliance.
Provide support to Department Manager and assist with departmental training and the implementation of bank initiatives.
Education, Experience, Skills
Minimum of three (3) years of work experience in consumer and commercial loan documentation preferred.
Broad knowledge in loan compliance and regulatory requirements, with strong understanding of loan documentation for consumer and commercial loans.
Superior attention to detail and accuracy
Strong written and oral communication skills
Effective organizational and time-management skills
Ability to handle heavy volumes of work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
Proficient PC and technical skills necessary to perform related job duties.
Excellent multi-tasking and prioritizing skills
Ability to set, manage, monitor and achieve completion of project and closing deadlines.
Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
