Operations Specialist
This position will work effectively over the phone and in person with internal and external customer. Assisting customers with bank operation functions while ensuring accuracy, promptness, and excellent customer service.
Essential Duties:
· Maintain designated ledger accounts for the bank including making ledger entries and balancing ledgers with source documents as well as account reconciliation.
· Process exception items.
· Assist with item processing/preparation of cash letters.
· Possess knowledge of all bank deposit products and features.
· May assist with:
o Bond accounting
o Accounts payable
o ICS/CDARS processing
o Business Online Banking customers
· Ability to make on-the-spot decisions regarding customer transactions, weighing customer satisfaction issues with bank exposure to loss or fraud.
· Work independently and exercise good judgment.
· Complete bookkeeping functions which meet deadlines.
· Ability to prioritize and work independently to meet objectives and goals.
· Participate in educational and training sessions when appropriate.
· Participate in cross-training programs.
· Knowledge of various federal regulations including Bank Secrecy Act, Right to Financial Privacy Act, Regulation E and CC, and bookkeeping roles and responsibilities relating to each act.
· Exercise sound judgment, accurately identify and pro-actively resolve potential problems.
