Position Overview: Seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment used in our production processes. You will work alongside cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth operation of high-tech machinery and electrical systems, contributing to our mission of providing top-quality banknotes and security products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and test electrical systems, equipment, and circuits used in banknote printing and manufacturing operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues with equipment and machinery to minimize downtime and improve productivity.
- Work with mechanical and software engineers to integrate electrical systems into the overall production process.
- Conduct regular maintenance and calibration of electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
- Create and maintain electrical schematics, technical drawings, and documentation for system design and troubleshooting.
- Perform power analysis, load testing, and failure mode analysis to improve the reliability and efficiency of electrical systems.
- Monitor the performance of electrical systems and implement improvements to enhance operational safety, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, local codes, and safety regulations.
- Provide technical support to the production team, including troubleshooting and advice on system functionality.
- Collaborate with other engineers and departments to ensure seamless integration of new technologies into our processes.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, advancements, and best practices to continuously improve electrical systems and processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuit design, and equipment troubleshooting.
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HMI and industrial automation systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with electrical codes and safety standards (e.g., NEC).
- Proficiency in electrical design software (AutoCAD, MATLAB, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to walk, stand or bend for up to 12 hours.
- Excellent color vision
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work on any shift. to include 12-hour shifts
- Must be able to adhere to stringent security and safety rules.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the currency production or security printing industry.
- Knowledge of both Allen-Bradley and Siemens automation platform would be an ideal candidate.
- Knowledge of power distribution, control systems, and energy efficiency techniques.
- Certification or training in industry-specific safety and technical standards.
