Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Industrial Electrician to join our team in North Carolina. As an Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in a variety of industrial settings. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient operation of machinery, electrical systems, and production lines in compliance with all safety standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in industrial environments, including motors, control panels, transformers, and wiring.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues, identify faults, and perform necessary repairs on machinery and systems.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to install or modify electrical systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment to minimize downtime and extend service life.
- Collaborate with other team members, including engineers, maintenance staff, and production managers, to address electrical system issues and improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes (NEC) and safety standards.
- Respond quickly to emergency electrical issues during production or facility downtime, minimizing operational disruption.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including service logs, work orders, and inventory records.
- Assist in the installation and testing of new equipment, ensuring electrical systems are properly configured and integrated into the overall production process.
- Participate in safety training and maintain a safe work environment, adhering to company policies and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an apprenticeship program in electrical systems is preferred.
- Must have a Valid North Carolina journeyman or master electrician license (or the ability to obtain one within a specified timeframe).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an industrial electrician in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, motors, controls, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.
- Experience with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), and industrial automation systems is a plus.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team and take initiative when necessary.
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Good physical stamina and ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces or heights.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening as required by company policy.
