General Position Scope:
Responsibilities include the management of the bank’s learning and development team, the development, organization, and implementation of educational classes, both classroom and web based, as well as researching, verifying, and creating educational materials for learning and skill development of the BankPlus workforce, focusing on the creation and deployment of credit, deposit, lending software, bank procedures, and other training programs.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages the Learning and Development Specialists.
Responsible for assisting the Education Department and bank in the evaluation of the training needs and special projects, both independently and as part of the Education and Development Team.
Researches, designs, develops, and implements and revises educational material for instructor-led, computer based, and webcast educational programs, and performance improvement programs.
Collaborates with bank leaders to develop teaching aids; educational manuals, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works individually and as a part of the Education and Development Team.
Organizes and conducts educational sessions by way of all delivery methods.
Recommends learning options to the Education Department based on a need analysis.
Identifies training needs by evaluating strengths and weaknesses and translating requirements into trainings that will groom employees for the next step of their career path.
Develops the production of instructional materials and designs.
Directs structured learning experiences and monitors quality results.
Evaluates the effectiveness of training programs by way evaluations, feedback, and follow-ups.
Interfaces with HR and Management within the company to ensure proper actions are taken during training.
Works with Managers and act as a Performance Interventionist to make recommendations for performance improvement.
Maintains a thorough knowledge of Bank products, services, policies, procedures, and appropriate regulatory issues as related to daily job functions including but not limited to: Bank Secrecy Act; Privacy Act; Fair Lending Act; Regulation E, etc. Complete required compliance training and adhere to the Bank’s standard of conduct.
Maintains a thorough knowledge of Teller, Deposit Accounts, Bank, Lending policies and processes.
Performs other duties as requested.
Participates in the bank’s High-Performance Rewards Connections program.
Make referrals to the Mortgage Center and Wealth Management
Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree preferred in Education or Finance
Five years of corporate training, management and experience presenting educational material to groups. Bank and Lending training experience highly preferred.
Experience with e-learning tools, such as Camtasia, Canva, Publisher, etc.
Extensive research and reading
Driving and occasional travel, as needed for business purposes.
Works outside of regular business hours as deemed necessary.
Ability to handle multiple tasks.
General computer knowledge, experience with Microsoft Office Suite, to include Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook
Excellent verbal and written communication, and presentation skills
