General Position Statement:
Mortgage Loan Processor II is a junior level Loan Processor position responsible for reviewing residential mortgage loan applications and documents. Mortgage Loan Processors work closely with all teams and departments to prepare complete and compliant mortgage loan files.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain assigned pipeline using LOS dashboards to ensure submission timelines are met.
Review loan applications for errors and omissions. Processor to make corrections and keep LOS up to date with accurate and current information.
Confirm that disclosures were signed and dated and that lock in is registered or floating.
Work with mortgage processing coordinators to ensure all initial orders are completed and received timely with complete and accurate information.
Compare credit reports to debts on application and update trade lines with credit bureau.
Order VOL, VOM, all payoffs and appraisal corrections, final and/or recertification inspections.
Review FHA case numbers, CAIVRS and appraisals.
Order VA COE and appraisals utilizing VA Portal.
Analyze and complete income calculation forms.
Update and submit all loans through the appropriate AUS.
Prepare and submit completed forms and documents for approval of DPA programs.
Prepare and provide originator with processor preliminary conditions needed using processor checklist for each loan type.
Order PMI Certificates. Review and update Flood Determinations.
Submit complete loan file to underwriter per agency and investor guidelines and overlays.
Work with loan originator and underwriter to clear prior to closing conditions for final underwriting approval.
Support a high performing culture through practicing teamwork and communicating with other team members timely and effectively.
Maintain a thorough knowledge of Bank products, services, policies, procedures and
appropriate regulatory issues as related to daily job functions including but not limited to:
Bank Secrecy Act; Privacy Act; Fail Lending Act; Regulation E; etc. Complete required
compliance training and adhere to the Bank’s standard of conduct.
Other duties as assigned
Participation in the bank’s High-Performance Rewards Connections program. Make referrals to Mortgage Dept. and Wealth Management.
Position Requirements:
Associates degree preferred
Two or more years of mortgage processing experience
Attend meetings and complete training as required
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, to include Excel, Word, and Outlook
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work outside of regular business hours, as deemed necessary and to multi-task and work effectively in a high-pressured environment.
