About the Role 

The Operations Manager will play a critical role in driving operational efficiency, cross-branch collaboration, and strategic project execution. Working closely with the Vice President of Operations, this role ensures the successful implementation of new products, services, and process enhancements to support the bank’s continued growth. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in banking operations, accounting, and compliance, who thrives in a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement.

 

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

  • Lead and oversee the execution of strategic operational projects, ensuring alignment with the bank’s goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new banking services, process improvements, and technology enhancements.
  • Manage timelines, resources, and deliverables for high-impact initiatives.
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on project progress and operational improvements.

 

Cross-Branch & Department Collaboration & Operational Alignment:

  • Facilitate communication and coordination between branches to ensure consistency in operations and customer experience.
  • Lead retail and operations teams in implementing best practices for efficiency and service delivery.
  • Serve as a liaison between departments, ensuring smooth integration of new products, services, and operational procedures.
  • Facilitate training sessions on operational best practices and new initiatives.

 

Operational Process Improvement:

  • In collaboration with VP of Operations, Identify and implement strategies to improve operational workflows across all branches.
  • Assist in optimizing policies and procedures to improve efficiency, consistency and ensure compliance.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process enhancements to streamline bank functions.

 

Leadership & Team Development:

  • Mentor and support branch and operations staff in understanding and adopting new processes.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Associates degree in business administration, Finance, or a related field highly preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in banking operations or retail, with at least three years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of operational processes with experience in successfully managing cross-functional projects and driving process improvements.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, high attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with core banking systems (Fiserv/Precision strongly preferred) and digital initiatives.

 

Preferred Skills

  • Experience implementing process automation and workflow optimization.
  • Familiarity with banking technologies and digital banking trends.
