Job Overview
We are seeking a an energetic, self-motivated, and organized Lot Porter to join our team. The ideal candidate is a quick learner and able to work at a fast pace, while being self - sufficient. The Lot Porter plays a crucial role in maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the dealership lot, ensuring that vehicles are properly displayed and ready for customers.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain the overall order and appearance of the lot and buildings
- Park and retrieve vehicles for customers, ensuring safe handling and proper operation of both manual and automatic transmissions.
- Assist in managing vehicle inventory
- Moving units to designated areas as directed
- Provide exceptional guest services by greeting customers, answering questions, and directing them to the appropriate personnel.
- Record keeping of damaged and missing items (includes, but not limited to units and buildings)
- Maximizing use of lot space
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding vehicle status and customer needs.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction.
- Willingness to learn and multi-task
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently.
- Previous experience in a dealership or automotive environment is a plus.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License with clean driving record
- High school diploma or GED, preferred
- Professional appearance
- Operation of forklift and tugger
Physical Requirements
- Good general health and physical ability
- Bend, squat, stretch, pull, push, and stand for long period of time
- Lifting up to 50 lbs
