Commercial and / or Agricultural Lender
Grundy Bank is a locally owned and operated community bank that has been headquartered out of Morris for over 160 years. Our Commercial Lenders are responsible for business development, origination, underwriting and closing commercial loans. Lenders are also expected to expand relationships with existing clients and establish relationships with prospective business customers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop new business by calling on businesses, professional groups, individuals and existing clients
- Receive and screen loan applications; analyze applicant's financial status, credit and property evaluation to determine feasibility of granting loan requests
- Maintain and develop existing portfolio by assessing and meeting client's business and personal needs
- Monitor and review loan portfolio on a regular basis to proactive identify potential problems
- Daily review, approval and disposition of overdrawn deposit accounts
- Negotiate terms, structure loan financing based on risk considerations
- Present credits to loan committee and board of directors
- Handle delinquent accounts in a timely manner
- Maintain a working knowledge of compliance with bank loan policy and banking regulations
- Participation in community events and professional organizations
