Summary of Position :
The FP&A Analyst is responsible for assisting the Director of Accounting & Financial Planning by ensuring the creation of accurate, timely and relevant metrics, forecasts, plans, and analyses thereby enabling Bank Management to make informed decisions.
Requirements
Responsibilities include :
- Help lead the Bank's annual planning and budgeting process
- Understand and validate Income Statement & Balance Sheet assumptions, metrics and trends to build accurate forecasts, with a key focus on expenses
- Support the preparation of financial reports for senior management, including budget variance analysis, on a monthly / quarterly / annual basis, with a key focus on expenses
- Support the preparation of presentations for the Bank's Board of Directors
- Support the preparation of all Investor communications
- Contribute to development of standardized reporting package(s)
- Help to improve current Finance processes through simplification and / or automation
- Review financial schedules and analyses as part of the Company's ICFR / SOX control process to ensure the Company's financial reporting is accurate
- Subject matter expert in budgeting tool(s)
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with colleagues across departments to foster an effective cross functional working environment
- Ad hoc projects / reporting
