Job Summary:
The Closing Assistant plays a pivotal role in the real estate and loan closing process at BankWest. This position requires thorough understanding of the disbursement process, which is initiated after the closing has been completed.
Main Responsibilities:
Maintaining Records: The Closing Assistant maintains records of communication with all partners involved in the real estate closing process.
Escrow and Accounting Functions: Assist in maintaining escrow and accounting functions in SoftPro and provide backup for the closer. Provide support as needed to the Escrow Officer.
Secondary Duties:
The Closing Assistant plays a pivotal role in the real estate and loan closing process at BankWest. This position requires thorough understanding of the disbursement process, which is initiated after the closing has been completed.
Main Responsibilities:
- Schedule all closings and meet with customers to sign final documents.
- Assist with the disbursement process once the closing is complete.
- Deposit and post incoming funds, forward signed documents to the relevant lenders, send/drop off documents to the Register of Deeds for immediate recording, mail out all payments.
- Ensure that all closing files are complete within 24 hours of the closing.
Maintaining Records: The Closing Assistant maintains records of communication with all partners involved in the real estate closing process.
Escrow and Accounting Functions: Assist in maintaining escrow and accounting functions in SoftPro and provide backup for the closer. Provide support as needed to the Escrow Officer.
Secondary Duties:
- Collaborate with departmental counterparts on planning and implementing assigned projects and products.
- Participate in various committees and project teams as deemed appropriate by management.
- Attend and actively participate in organization-wide training offered, Quality Service programs, and other development opportunities.
- Adhere to all applicable Policies and Procedures of BankWest.
- Community involvement is strongly encouraged.
