Director of Finance and Human Resources
Banner Christian School is seeking a dynamic Director of Finance and Human Resources to oversee the school’s financial and human resource operations. This leadership role combines financial management with strategic human resources planning, ensuring the fiscal health of the school while fostering a positive and productive environment for all staff and employees. The Director of Finance and Human Resources will work closely with the Head of School, Board of Directors, and leadership team to implement financial strategies and human resources policies that align with the school’s mission and values.

Financial Management & Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation, analysis, and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
- Prepare detailed financial reports for the Head of School, Board of Directors, and other stakeholders.
- Manage the school’s budget, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and providing guidance on financial planning and adjustments.
Budget Development & Oversight:
- Lead the development of the annual budget, providing input into the process and ensuring financial resources are allocated effectively across departments.
- Regularly monitor the budget, making necessary adjustments to meet financial objectives and report on variances.
Cash Flow & Investment Management:
- Oversee cash flow management to ensure sufficient liquidity for school operations.
- Provide guidance on investment strategies and manage the school’s financial assets in coordination with the Board.
Internal Controls & Compliance:
- Develop and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard financial resources.
- Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations, including oversight of audits and tax filings.
Payroll & Benefits Administration:
- Oversee payroll processing and employee benefits administration, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
- Manage employee compensation and benefits packages, and serve as a resource for staff regarding payroll inquiries and benefits information.
Human Resources Management:
- Lead human resources strategies that attract, retain, and support qualified staff in alignment with the school’s mission and values.
- Oversee and maintain appropriate paperwork for new hires.
- Develop and implement human resources policies and procedures that comply with legal requirements and best practices.
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
- Manage employee relations and handle employee grievances, ensuring fairness and adherence to school policies.
