Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing residential renovation and decoration projects from concept to completion.
- Develop design concepts in alignment with the Principal's vision.
- Create and present client-facing design proposals, mood boards, and materials selections.
- Produce technical drawings, including floor plans, elevations, and lighting/electrical plans.
- Research, source, and specify furniture, fixtures, finishes, and accessories.
- Assist with FF&E procurement, order tracking, and installation coordination.
- Review architectural plans and cabinet shop drawings to ensure design intent is met.
- Conduct site visits and collaborate with clients, contractors, and vendors.
- Maintain organized project documentation, action lists, and digital task tracking (Asana).
- Support budget tracking, pricing proposals, and vendor coordination.
- Assist with mentoring junior designers and design assistants.
- Contribute fresh ideas and creativity to elevate our firm's work.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in high-end residential interior design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Photoshop
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask across multiple projects.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Located in the Bay Area with a reliable car.
- Familiarity with Houzz Pro, Slack, and Asana
- Experience managing budgets and vendor relationships.
- Competitive Salary: $75K – $95K, depending on experience.
