Position Description
Banner Defense is in search of an Intermediate Target Requirements Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Threat Systems Engineering Directorate team, managing the Agency's assessment objectives as requirements for the Flight Test Program. Candidate will be a member of a team supporting development of parametric target specifications and trajectory, radar cross-section (RCS), and infrared (IR) signatures encompassing intelligence assessments for Missile Defense System design, test, and performance assessments.
Responsibilities
Ideal candidates will bring prior Missile Defense Agency (MDA) experience and a solid understanding of the Missile Defense System, including familiarity with MDA flight-test targets and threat frameworks. They should have hands-on expertise in electro-optical and infrared (EO/IR) signature analysis, supported by demonstrated proficiency in MATLAB and the Optical Signatures Code.

Banner Defense is in search of an Intermediate Target Requirements Engineer to join our team! Candidate will be a member of a team supporting development of parametric target specifications and trajectory, radar cross-section (RCS), and infrared (IR) signatures encompassing intelligence assessments for Missile Defense System design, test, and performance assessments.
Responsibilities
- Providing technical and engineering analysis for MDA flight test target requirements products to ensure accuracy and integration are complete and to ensure requirement documents are properly coordinated, written, and reviewed before they are submitted for government approval.
- Developing technical requirements for various products to include target radio frequency (RF) signature specifications, flight test mission-related target requirements, and deviations of target requirements.
- Provide threat technical details required to develop Target System Performance Specifications which enable the design and procurement of targets for flight tests. The technical details will also provide threat data for Threat Trajectory Memoranda which define specific parameters needed to successfully complete a threat-representative flight test.
- Evaluating intelligence-based threat system performance data to define real world scenarios which support derivation of relevant Initial Target Parameters.
- Performing feasibility and threat assessments of the target trajectory based on defined trajectory requirements.
- BS/BA in STEM field
- 3 years' experience working on missile defense-related or other DoD program / project
- Experience in technical and/or statistical analysis.
- Proficiency in writing technical requirements.
- Experience in analysis of radar cross section or radio frequency signatures.
- Experience in analysis of infrared signatures.
- Ability to prepare briefings and present data analysis results to various levels of personnel.
- Active Secret Clearance
