Position Description
Banner Defense is in search of a Principal Architecture Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to define and evaluate Missile Defense System (MDS) trade capability space envelope, architectural performance metrics, and other high-level performance metrics as applicable.
Responsibilities
Highly desired candidates will have a solid understanding of hypersonic weapons, including their capabilities and limitations, and demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (particularly PowerPoint). A working knowledge of MDS components, architectures, and concepts, as well as familiarity with MDA or other complex MDS elements, is essential. Experience in a military operational environment is highly valued. Preference is given to Navy veterans who have served as an Aegis Weapon System EDO or Joint Interface Control Officer, or Army/Air Force veterans with expertise in MDS elements such as THAAD, LTAMDS, Sentinel, PATRIOT, or GMD.

Position Description
Banner Defense is in search of a Principal Architecture Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to define and evaluate Missile Defense System (MDS) trade capability space envelope, architectural performance metrics, and other high-level performance metrics as applicable.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise on missile defense activities to include adversary capabilities, systems engineering, and evaluation. Remain cognizant of intelligence updates of new threat systems that affect future missile defense architectures.
- Evaluate the adequacy of the current MDS to include ballistic, hypersonic, and cruise missile defensive architecture to counter the threat and recommend courses of action for concept of operations, system improvements, and identify alternate strategies for affordable, cost effective and technically advanced systems.
- Evaluate and adapt analysis of Allied Missile Defense systems in defense of the Unified Command Theaters; assess how to incorporate those allied missile defense systems into U.S. missile defense systems to provide a more robust defense.
- Provide reach-back for consulting services for key MDS development expertise; facilitating efforts across internal/external stakeholders such as Services and Combatant Commanders providing strategic advice, guidance and direction.
- Support, evaluate, analyze and develop technical recommendations through exchanges with FFRDCs, UARCs, and OGAs to provide input on program process and technical improvement opportunities.
- Support Defense Architecture evolution strategy and development through assessment of interim and final results of Analysis of Alternatives and other analysis activities to include top-level requirements.
- Assist in the analysis, demonstrations, and tests to support early milestones and feasibility assessments and to collect data to verify that architecture analysis assumptions are credible.
- 12 years of experience required
- Master's Degree in STEM required
- Missile Defense experience
- Be able to successfully accomplish the duties by working with minimal guidance
- Active Secret Clearance
- Travel up to 15% is required
