Job Overview:

We are seeking an over the road skilled Emergency Vehicle Mechanic to join our team. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing vehicle maintenance and repairs on emergency vehicles such as fire trucks and ambulances. This is a hands-on role that requires strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to effectively use power tools and hand tools.

Duties:

- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on fire apparatus and other emergency vehicles.

- Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs

- Use power tools and hand tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicle components

- Test drive vehicles to ensure proper functionality after repairs

- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed

Experience:

- Proven experience as a Mechanic or similar role

- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems including electrical.

- Proficient in using power tools and hand tools for repairs

- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues

- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
