Our client is looking for a bilingual Spanish Buyer to manage their procurement needs and vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will have purchasing experience in the retail grocery / food industry.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Builds positive and productive relationships with vendors
- Issues and revises purchase orders, debit memos, promotional credits, and slotting fees for vendors
- Researches and resolves credit and debit memos with vendor accounts
- Maintains systems by entering new items, vendors, pricing, promotions, and sale items
- Creates and tracks drop shipments
- Coordinates company sales events and promotional activities including scheduling the vendors, demonstrations, and warehouse locations; sets up promotions and analyzes the sales from the event to collect promotional dollars
- Creates sales promotion materials such as the monthly flyer, newsletters, and presentations for prospective customers
- Supports the sales team by updating the order guide, movement report and item specifications as needed
- Creates reports to track and validate donations, billbacks, damaged goods, out of date goods, slotting fees, inventory, and promotions
