Position Summary
The Applications Engineers provide technical support for all Banner products. They collaborate with the outside sales teams to create custom solutions for our customers. Be a part of a cohesive team of experts striving to strengthen our relationships with our customers.
This position reports to the Applications Engineer Manager.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing technical consultation and product support service to Banner Area Sales Managers, Field Sales Representatives, distributors, and customers
- Managing multiple priorities including incoming phone calls, emails, chats and responding to direct sales team member communications
- Collaborating with Engineering staff to develop technical modifications to existing products to meet unique application requirements
- Conducting in house tests to solve real-life customer applications
- Assisting with product training for internal and external audiences, both in-person and remotely
- Supporting the sales regions with tasks such as vetting and processing, product returns with technical issues (RMA) requests, price, and availability
- Utilizing the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to input and maintain complete, accurate, and timely entries of technical summaries, customer information, and sales opportunities for all cases worked
- Providing timely follow-up as needed to Banner Area Sales Managers, Field Sales Representatives, distributors, and customers
- Serving as production application expert for sales and interdisciplinary projects

Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related field
Preferred
- 0-4 years of experience in technical assistance, product service, sales, or related field
- Product training experience
- Experience working in an industrial automation environment
- Electronics & PLC experience
- Customer support experience
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Ability to travel domestically to attend trade shows or visit customer locations as needed
- Strong desire to understand how things work
- Proficient in multiple languages

Pay Range: $65,735 - $113,093
The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
