Position Summary
In this role, you will learn about the electronics assembly industry with a focus on supporting surface mount technology projects and manufacturing operations. This will be an opportunity to gain exposure to automated optical inspection, equipment teaching, through-hole soldering, electronics testing, sub-assembly processes, PCB design, manufacturing documentation, ERP and MES data systems, automated storage systems, and quality control. This is an in-person internship based at our Brooklyn Park, MN facility.
This position reports to the Senior Engineering Manager I.
According to the FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act), this position is classified as:

What You’ll Be Doing
Work as part of the existing PCB assembly process engineering team to help achieve the following:
- Use process mapping to improve throughput on existing production lines
- Verify data integrity to ensure accurate PCBA labor costing
- Work with a team to implement new procedures on world-class SMT production lines
- Review legacy build instructions, propose, and implement changes
- Monitor and improve production quality
- Other duties as assigned

Required
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or Industrial Technology
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
