Position Summary
The Staff Accountant will assist in many different processes within the Accounting & Finance department, both within the month-end closing cycle and regular daily and monthly processes.
This position reports to the Assistant Controller.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Accounts Receivable (assisting existing staff):
- Apply cash collections through cash, check, ACH, wire, and credit card to customer accounts.
- Work with customers to ensure timely collection of receipts, placing accounts on shipment hold as necessary.
- Regularly evaluate, calculate, and update customer credit limits.
- Serve as backup in all facets of Accounts Receivable in the absence of primary staff.
- Accounts Payable (assisting existing staff):
- Audit and process employee expense reports through Concur system.
- Serve as backup in all facets of Accounts Payable in the absence of primary staff.
- Month-end closing duties:
- Reconcile bank accounts of varying complexity.
- Handle bookkeeping duties for certain foreign offices that do not have dedicated foreign staff.
- Complete analysis and adjusting entries for certain accruals and prepaid expenses.
- Assist in formatting, updating, and sending financial reports to key stakeholders.
- Complete monthly sales tax returns for states that Banner does business in.
- Other daily and monthly regular processes as assigned.

Required
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent 4-year program in Accounting, Finance, or related.
Preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a strong working knowledge in other Microsoft applications (Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.).
- Oracle or similar ERP experience is a plus but not required.
- Previous Accounting or Finance experience is a plus but not required.

Pay Range: $54,989 - $75,610
The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
