We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Distribution Center Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our distribution center. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse operations to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols in accordance with OSHA regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Manage team performance through effective training, coaching, and development of staff members.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels, manage stock movements, and optimize storage solutions.
- Oversee materials handling processes including receiving, storing, and shipping products while ensuring accuracy in inventory records.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure proper maintenance and compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives and improve operational efficiency.
- Handle heavy lifting tasks as necessary while promoting ergonomic practices among team members.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a distribution center or warehouse environment.
- Strong knowledge of materials handling techniques and inventory management practices.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks as required by the position.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead diverse teams effectively.
- Mechanical knowledge is preferred for troubleshooting equipment issues as they arise.
- Understanding of third-party logistics (3PL) operations is an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
