About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Relief Driver to join our team at Banner Solutions. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely transportation of goods across various routes.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive assigned vehicle on designated routes, following all relevant safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of working hours, vehicle service, and repair status.
- Load or unload trucks using specialized equipment as necessary, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Interact with customers and colleagues in a professional manner, communicating effectively through electronic devices and radio/phone systems.
- Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions to maximize fuel efficiency.
Requirements
- A valid Class A CDL and current DOT medical card.
- At least 2 years of commercial vehicle driving experience with an acceptable MVR.
- Ability to read and speak English as required by Federal Motor Carrier Department regulations.
- Familiarity with transportation and safety principles for moving goods by road.
- Local travel; less than 5% overnight travel.
