What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Floater position at Banners Childcare?
Our center is currently looking for part time Floaters for the end of the day. This employee will be responsible for going into various classrooms to relieve staff. This candidate must also be comfortable with closing down classrooms (sweep, mop, wipe down tables, take out garbage etc.). The hours are 2pm-6pm Monday-Friday. This candidate must also be comfortable/willing to work with ages from 6 weeks-12 years. Experience with children, TB test, background check, & fingerprinting is required. Serious inquires only!
Teacher duties are but not limited to:
- Serves breakfast, lunch, morning and afternoon snacks
- Engages children in activities and songs throughout the day
- Close down classrooms
- Greets parents as they enter the room in the evening
- Attends in-service workshops or meetings
- Attends staff meetings as designated applicable
- Completes a minimum of 15 hours training per year
All employees are expected to:
- Arrive at work with enough time to be in the classroom when expected
- Bring a positive attitude to work
- Share classroom responsibilities equally with your co-worker
- Follow the proper chain of command to resolve a problem or conflict
- Develop and maintain healthy relationships with parents
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with other staff
- Follow the dress code everyday
- Give all of your attention to the job at hand (lesson plans, playground supervision, etc...)
- Use child-friendly and appropriate words when speaking to or in front of children.
