What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian position at Banquet Hall?

Duties:
- Preparing & cleaning before & after banquets
- Setting up and breaking down tables and chairs. Sweeping, mopping, cleaning countertops, 2-4 bathrooms, a few doors and windows, wiping down chairs, baseboards, ledges, trash cans, pulling occasional weeds, sweeping store front sidewalk, and a few other basic tasks. Occasional folding linen napkins and setting place settings. Lifting, always <30lbs
Schedule:
- Average 2-20 hours/week. We offer flexibility (if you work / study full time at another place, this work could be performed late at night or early in the morning before or after your primary job). If you require a minimum number of hours, this may not be the right job for you. Although we may have very busy months, there are also some slow weeks as the industry is seasonal. It is not steady income, but supplemental income.
Hours:
- Most Friday & Saturday nights 11p-1-3a.
- Sundays 1:30p-3:30pm sometimes flexible
- There will be flexible weekday opportunities
Compensation:
- Base Pay $22-28/hour. Paid at the beginning of each month via zelle which is instantly funded, or mailed business check which takes Chase an additional week to process. (Your choice)
- Shift differential: $2/hr for work after 10p.
- Bonus Pay: Every 12th event: $200
- Summary: Our bonus pay will bring your hourly up to ~$34/hour
- Room for growth & more hours as we expand

- We value our janitorial staff as you are an integral part of our team and over operation. We host events of all sorts from funerals to weddings and have a very high standard to providing our venue in tip top shape for each and every event. This is a job to take seriously and with pride, and we will reward your loyalty.
- Over the past 6 years we have always paid all staff on the 1st of the month. If you require pay each day, each week, or if you require Cash App, Venmo, or any other electronic payments other than Zelle or a business check sent to you, we understand that this is not a good match for you.
