What are the responsibilities and job description for the Telehealth - Group Facilitator position at Banyan Brand?
We are seeking a full-time Group Facilitator to join our Telehealth Team.
The Group Facilitator is responsible for performing a wide variety of patient care activities as directed by the attending Clinical Director. He/she will be responsible for conducting groups and works in collaboration with Treatment Team to access patient’s needs.
Job Duties:
- Conduct educational groups (lectures/videos/discussions) effectively.
- Participate effectively in multidisciplinary treatment plan reviews, demonstrating adequate preparation and understanding of patient issues, progress, areas of resistance, positive and negative strategies, etc.
- Document the patient’s progress accurately as it relates to treatment goals and objectives.
- Assist patients in gaining group process skills and Reinforce stated treatment goals and objectives that are measurable.
- Utilize experiential techniques effectively and create atmosphere in which self-disclosure is facilitated.
- Assist patients gain insight into problems and understanding treatment goals.
- Give patient a clear picture of where he/she stands with regard to progress toward recovery as seen by the therapist and the multidisciplinary treatment team.
- Confront and document counter-productive behavior appropriately.
- Be effective in finding needed resources.
- Maintain clinical records according to program policies and those of licensing and accrediting agencies.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in field of Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Rehabilitation, Special Education, Health Education, or a related human services field; required.
- Three to Five Years of work experience in substance abuse and mental health field, preferred.
- DBT Training
- Available to work evening hours.
- Experience with KIPU EMR, preferred.
