Banyan Global is recruiting a Lead Technical Writer - Health to lead the development of a compliant and competitive technical approach for an upcoming USAID-funded opportunity to employ private-sector and business-minded approaches to speed up progress towards achieving health goals in partnership with countries globally. The program will apply a wide range of diverse market access activities, which could include strategic planning for introduction and scale, market shaping, innovative financing, private sector engagement, and / or human-centered design and technical writers with expertise in these domains will be short-listed.
Responsibilities :
In collaboration with subject matter experts, from capture to proposal development, lead technical proposal writing processes.
Interpret donor solicitation requirements and develop compliant and competitive outlines in collaboration with the proposal manager and technical lead.
Participate in technical strategy and design meetings, including whiteboarding technical strategy and design sessions.
Organize and synthesize technical research and ensure it is adequately reflected in proposal drafts.
Harmonize and integrate different sections and content from multiple writers into one cohesive, responsive, and persuasive proposal that is one-voice.
Revise drafts in response to feedback and comments in collaboration with the proposal team.
Review proposals during color teams or conduct compliance reviews of bids when required.
Translate technical information and jargon into clear, easy-to-read text.
Qualifications :
At least 5 years of collaborative technical proposal writing experience on USAID-funded (or similar donor) global health opportunities required.
Excellent interpersonal skills and track record of successfully managing relationships with diverse development stakeholders, including subject matter experts in headquarters and country offices.
Technical expertise, with substantial country context experience in low and middle-income countries, in at least one or more of the following technical areas highly preferred : design and implementation of innovative financing mechanisms, including blended financing; strategy and / or management consulting; pharmaceutical and / or medical technology; market access bottleneck analyses; and, implementing appropriate strategies.
Professional fluency in English.
Masters degree or higher in public health, business administration, international development or related fields.
