We are seeking a Clinical Director to join our team and lead the facility by driving operations, programming, staff development, and patient outcomes. Position Details

  • Reporting to: Executive Director.
  • Type: Full-time.
  • Location: Milford, DE (On-site).

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee clinical programming and treatment programs, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards, best practices, and continuous improvement based on patient outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, accreditation standards, and safety protocols, fostering a secure environment for patients and staff.
  • Supervise and mentor clinical teams while overseeing staff training and professional development to promote accountability, consistency, and high-quality care.
  • Build and maintain relationships with referral sources, funding agencies, regulatory bodies, and community partners, while leading efforts to market services, attract referrals, and expand the organization’s reach.
  • Collaborate with the quality assurance department to assess and improve clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain open communication with staff, stakeholders, and the board of directors, providing regular reports on progress and key metrics.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or a related human services field.
  • An Active LCSW, LPCMH, or LCDP in the State of Delaware.
  • At least 5 years of clinical experience in a supervisor-level role.
  • Training in one or more therapeutic techniques (e.g., CBT, ACT, DBT, etc.).
  • Proficiency in de-escalation techniques and trauma-informed care in behavioral health settings.
  • Familiarity with patient confidentiality, healthcare code of ethics, state regulations and Joint Commission standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in substance abuse treatment and/or mental health settings.
  • Experience in a director level role.
  • An active CAADC or CADC.
  • Training in various therapeutic techniques (e.g., CBT, ACT, DBT, etc.).
  • De-escalation Training (e.g., CPI certification or related).
  • Related training in Trauma Proficiency (e.g. EMDR certification or related).
