Position Details
- Location: Northeastern Pennsylvania, Luzerne County
- Employment Type: Part-time (20-25 hours/week)
- Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday (on-site); 1 weekend/month required; on-call required for scheduled days
- Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations, including history and physical exams.
- Perform tasks related to intake, detox protocols, and managing care for residential patients.
- Provide follow-up evaluations and as-needed patient visits.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure integrated care.
- Oversee infection control protocols and manage patient medication plans.
- Document patient progress and communicate with families and healthcare professionals.
- Evaluate behavioral health needs and provide treatment recommendations.
- Active ARNP license in Pennsylvania
- Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- 1 years of experience as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
- Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
- Experience in acute care, detox, or mental health settings
- Strong knowledge of clinical and ethical healthcare practices
- Familiarity with state and federal confidentiality regulations
- Exceptional assessment and communication skills
- Empathetic and patient-centered approach.
- Competency in assessing mental health, trauma, and other relevant conditions.
