SUMMARY
The Client Advisor is responsible for working one-on-one with clients, performing intake with new clients, assisting clients with goal setting and effective client action plans, mentoring clients through the self-sufficiency process, and managing the client appointment process from beginning to end. They will also assist with training interns and volunteers to perform the role of client advisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Meet general employment qualifications as outlined in the Agency's personnel policies.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- High degree of skill in nonverbal, oral and written communications.
- Must be proficient in the use of a computer and software applications to enter client data and manage client information.
- Has the ability to relate to people and to function as a member of the ministry team.
- Must be organized and able to manage and complete multiple tasks and work independently.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed including occasional evenings and weekends when based on client needs.
- Has the knowledge and skills to fulfill job responsibilities.
- Manifests in daily action a Christian spirit and lifestyle by incorporating Baptist Children's Homes core values and philosophy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Daily Responsibilities:
- Assists clients in completing the application process
- Ministers to clients as needed or when appropriate
- Compiles a list of comprehensive needs based on client assessments
- Completes vouchers for Market Place and Food based on client needs
- Communicates with outside referral agencies to assist clients as needed
- Creates a Client Action Plan with the client, outlining steps needed to achieve goals
- Ensures all interactions with individuals are maintained with confidentiality except required by law to report
- Ensures any required documentation of services is noted and/or recorded in the Charity Tracker Database
Knowledge/Training:
- Demonstrates a working knowledge and understanding of

Supervisory:
- Works under the direct supervision of the Director of the Bob & Carolyn Tucker Greater Vision Outreach Ministry
- Participates in 90-day and annual performance evaluations
- Cooperates with supervisor in establishing performance goals and objectives
- Communicates with and keeps supervisor informed and requests conferences as needed
- Participates in staff training as requested by the supervisor
- Works in a cooperative relationship with volunteers and the community by representing the agency in a professional, objective and positive manner
