SUMMARY:
The Merchandising Coordinator at Fancy Finds is responsible for creatively displaying products to promote sales, maintaining the store's layout, and creating a satisfying shopping experience. This role includes handling, pricing and discounting, assisting in special event generation, furniture restoration and painting, and promoting awareness of Fancy Finds through advertising and marketing. The Merchandising Coordinator also ensures the upkeep of the off-site storefronts (Twin Deer, etc.). This is a part time position, 25-29 hours per week.

QUALIFICATIONS:
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Possess skills in proper telephone etiquette, active listening, and assessment
* Have working knowledge of Point Of Sale (POS) system and operation
* Excellent communication skills, including ability to relate effectively with people from all economic, racial, age, ethnic, and social groups
* Must have the capability to manage, plan, organize, implement, monitor and maintain the operations of Fancy Finds and other assigned BCH duties.
* Possess interpersonal skills and characteristics such as resourcefulness, initiative, adaptability, analytical and decision-making skills, relationship-building skills, self-awareness, creativity, comprehension, attention to detail, time management, and reliability
* Ability to repurpose furniture or be willing to learn to do so.
* Ability to regularly lift 50lbs or more

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Set and maintain the store layout to create an inviting and satisfying shopping experience for customers
* Display products in a creative way to promote sales and enhance the shopping experience
* Provide excellent customer service, ensuring customer satisfaction and addressing inquiries promptly and professionally
* Handle pricing, markdowns, and discounts according to store policies
* Ensure that pricing is clear and updated regularly to reflect promotions
* Help generate and promote in-store and community special events to increase foot traffic
* Collaborate on the development and promotion of sales events to drive revenue
* Assist in advertising and marketing efforts, including social media and local outreach, to raise awareness of Fancy Finds
* Actively promote awareness of Fancy Finds in the local community, building relationships with customers and partners
* Ensure any off-site storefronts are well-maintained and visually appealing, reflecting the values and standards of Fancy Finds
