Emergency Care Tech Night Shift

Serves as a supportive member of the patient care team who assist in routine and non complex aspects of patient care and other duties to support the operations of the Emergency Department. The ECT will assist the RN in the patient care process. ECT will greet patients and families as the enter they Emergency Department lobby.

• Successful completion of Accredited EMS Program. Successfully passed the Psychomotor Skills Assessment and written exam for NREMT. Two years Advanced Life Support field experience. Must be cross trained in a minimum of two job classes i.e. Monitor Tech, PCT, Lab Tech with completion of Dual competencies. Current AHA CPR for HCP and Current unencumbered license at the Advanced level through the ADPH office of EMS and Trauma. Position requires sitting for 20 percent of the workday and mobility 80 percent of the workday. There is occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching. There is frequent reaching, use of hands and repetitive action. Requires occasional lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds, pushing pulling up to 150 pounds. There is a continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversation either by phone or in person. Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range. Inside protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Minimal noise levels. Much exposure to computer work. Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock.
