To learn more about Baptist Health, visit us at https : / / www.baptistfirst.org.The Charge Nurse is responsible for facilitating, coordinating, and evaluating unit activities for the provision of quality patient care during the assigned shift within the framework of the mission, vision, and values of Baptist Health.The Charge Nurse is responsible to the Nurse Manager and Assistant Nurse Manager and serves as a mentor to the staff.The Charge Nurse demonstrates the consistent ability to act as a role model by providing direction in the application of the nursing process, quality improvement standards, and organizational and department goal and objectives in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Valid AL RN license. NRP Unit Specific; PALS Unit Specific ;
- Minimum 1 year staff nurse experience required
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns.
- Skill in the use of computers, preferably in a PC, Windows based operating environment.
- Ability to effectively manage time and schedules. Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
