Assist in facilitating, coordinating, and evaluating unit activities for the provision of quality patient care within the framework of the mission, vision, and values of Baptist Health. Serve as a mentor and team lead for the staff.
- Valid AL RN license required.
- Associates Degree in Nursing and four (4) years of Staff Nurse experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing and two (2) years of Staff Nurse experience in the department is preferred.
- Knowledge of Trauma ED standards of care practices and procedures, for the ED Shift supervisor.
- Organizational skills. Analytical and problem solving skills. Interpersonal skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to show initiative and leadership in patient care.
- Ability to effectively communicate to patients, guest, and coworkers. Ability to coordinate the activities of those persons supervised.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Registered Nurse (RN) License with the Alabama Board of Nursing.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within six months in position.
