Working Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00-5:00
Summary:
Phlebotomists properly identify patients and obtain blood specimens as ordered by a licensed health care provider. Phlebotmist ensures, in the presence of the patient, the specimens are properly identified with a hospital generated label or with two patient identifiers, the date, the time, and their unique ID. They are responsible for delivery of the specimens to the laboratory and must communicate with nursing and laboratory staff is there is problem in obtaining a specimen. Phlebotomist aslo complete courier rounds, chain of custody drug testing, and breath alcohol testing.
Other information:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience preferred. Must be able to effectively and professionally communicate with doctors, nurses, clinical staff, and people from all walks of life and in every age group. Must be able to read, write, and have basic computer skills. Must understand and practice proper phone etiquette.
This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
Salary : $27,900 - $35,400
