What are the responsibilities and job description for the APRN PRN position at Baptist Health Deaconess Madisonville?
The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) is responsible for practicing medicine to include conducting examinations and writing prescriptions. Within physician –APRN collaborative agreement, the APRN exercises autonomy in medical decision-making and provides a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services with no supervision requirement. May practice in several specialty areas including occupational medicine, surgery, urgent care, family/internal medicine and specialty.

Minimum Education, Experience, Training, And Licensures/Certifications/Registrations Required
- BSN required; MSN required
- Successful completion of advanced practitioner training and certification as a practitioner from an approved nurse practitioner program
- Eligible at all times to be insured for professional liability
- Active RN license in Kentucky or compact state
- Current unrestricted license to practice as an APRN in the Commonwealth of Kentucky
- BLS Certification
